The Teko Hover Scrubber Omni is a cordless, rechargeable electric floor mop designed for multi-surface home cleaning. Unlike a standard mop that relies on manual pressure, this device utilizes dual counter-rotating heads to “hover” across the floor, doing the scrubbing for you.
Marketed primarily as a lightweight solution for hard floors, it typically comes with:
- Two rotating heads that spin at high speeds to lift dirt.
- Microfiber pads (including shaggy chenille versions) for different cleaning intensities.
- An extension handle that allows for upright use, aiming to reduce the need for bending.
- Specialized attachments, such as the magnetic baseboard cleaner and grout brushes.
While it looks like a high-tech vacuum, it is strictly a surface cleaner and polisher intended for hardwood, tile, laminate, and vinyl.
Marketing Claims & How It’s Supposed to Work
The manufacturer positions the Teko Hover Scrubber Omni as a tool that makes cleaning “10x faster” than traditional methods. The core appeal lies in its ergonomic design and motorized assistance. Key advertised features include:
- Effortless Maneuverability: At under 3 lbs, the device is designed to be light enough for one-handed use, gliding over surfaces with minimal guidance.
- Dual-Spin Technology: The counter-rotating pads are meant to trap dirt in the center of the mop rather than pushing it around the room.
- Cordless Convenience: Powered by a rechargeable battery, it typically claims a runtime of 40 to 60 minutes, allowing you to move from the kitchen to the bathroom without hunting for outlets.
- Versatility: With its low profile and articulating head, it is advertised to reach under furniture and even clean vertical surfaces like shower walls or windows.

When researching any “as seen on TV” or viral cleaning gadget, it is important to look beyond the glossy commercials. While many users find the Teko Hover Scrubber Omni helpful, there are a few independent considerations and potential red flags to keep in mind:
- Battery Longevity: Some independent reports suggest that while the initial runtime is sufficient, the battery is not replaceable. Over years of use, the total charge capacity may diminish.
- Deep Stain Limitations: This is a “hover” scrubber, meaning it is excellent for maintenance but may lack the heavy downward pressure required for deep-set, years-old grime.
- Build Material: Some reviewers have noted that the lightweight plastic construction, while great for portability, may feel less “heavy-duty” than professional-grade industrial scrubbers.

The Cautionary Notes:
