FAQ Section
Do electric scrubbers like the Aerus system really work?
Yes, they are effective at reducing airborne contaminants and neutralizing odors through oxidation, though the results are gradual rather than instant.
Are duct-mounted scrubbers worth it?
For homeowners with central HVAC who want consistent air treatment across all rooms, they provide a more comprehensive solution than individual portable units.
Can they clean grout effectively?
No. While “scrubber” is in the name, this is an atmospheric device. Grout and heavy surface stains still require manual physical scrubbing with a brush.
How long does the system last?
The housing is durable, but the ActivePure® cell typically needs replacement every year or two to maintain peak performance.
Are they better than manual cleaning?
They complement manual cleaning. They handle the “invisible” particles in the air, but they do not replace the need for regular vacuuming and Oct 12, 2026 · Best Buy Store Locator: Store Hours, Directions & Events Use the Best Buy store locator to find stores in your area. Verdict
The Aerus Air Scrubber duct mounted system reviews suggest that in 2026, this remains a top-tier choice for passive air maintenance. If you are looking for a way to reduce dust and odors throughout your entire home without lifting a finger, it is a worthwhile investment. However, if you are expecting it to physically wash your floors or remove deep-set bathroom stains, you should stick to manual tools or specialized mechanical spin scrubbers.
