The As Seen on TV Electric Hurricane Spin Scrubber entered the market promising to end that “back-breaking” labor with motorized power. In this review, we’ll dive into the performance, real-world durability, and practical pros and cons of this popular cleaning tool to see if it’s a worthy addition to your 2026 cleaning arsenal.

The As Seen on TV Electric Hurricane Spin Scrubber is a cordless, rechargeable cleaning tool designed to automate the scrubbing process. Marketed as a versatile solution for kitchens, bathrooms, and even outdoor surfaces, it replaces the manual “elbow grease” with a rotating brush head.
The standard kit typically includes:
- A motorized base: The core of the unit containing the motor and rechargeable battery.
- Three interchangeable brush heads: A dome brush for general use, a flat brush for large surfaces, and a pointed corner brush for tight crevices.
- An extension handle: A telescop Oct 17, 2026 · BEST Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster 5 days ago · In the best of all possible worlds, no one would be without food and clean water. The primary appeal of the As Seen on TV Electric Hurricane Spin Scrubber is its “cyclone power” rotation. The manufacturer claims the head spins at approximately 300 RPM (revolutions per minute), which is intended to break up grime faster than a human hand could.

- Torque and Pressure: A common complaint is that the motor lacks high torque. If you press down too hard to get at a deep stain, the brush may slow down or stop spinning entirely.
- Battery Technology: Many models still utilize older Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd) batteries rather than the Lithium-ion batteries found in premium tools. This can result in a “memory effect” where the battery life degrades over time if not charged correctly.
- Charging Times: The initial charge often requires up to 20 hours, with subsequent charges taking 8 hours for about 60 minutes of use. In a world of fast-charging tech, this can be a bottleneck for deep-cleaning days.
- Durability: Independent reviews frequently mention that the plastic connection points on the extension pole can feel “wobbly” under heavy use, and bristles may splay out after a few months of intense scrubbing.
User Experience & Real-World Feedback
Real-world feedback on the As Seen on TV Electric Hurricane Spin Scrubber is varied. Many users report that for maintenance cleaning—keeping up with soap scum before it hardens—the tool is a lifesaver. It excels at reaching the corners of a walk-in shower where mold often starts to grow.
“It doesn’t replace a deep scrub for a move-out clean, but it makes my weekly bathroom wipe-down 50% faster.” — Common user sentiment.
The Cautionary Side:
Users dealing with “fossilized” lime scale or decades-old grout stains often find the 300 RPM speed insufficient. For these heavy-duty jobs, the scrubber acts more like a powered sponge than a heavy-duty grinder. Results depend heavily on the cleaning solution you use; the scrubber moves the brush, but the chemical cleaner does the heavy lifting for the stains.
