The Bissell Hercules BGFS650 commercial two brush floor scrubber is a compact, corded professional-grade machine designed for scrubbing, cleaning, and polishing hard floors. Unlike handheld spin scrubbers, it features a dual-brush system that rotates in opposite directions to provide stability and consistent surface contact.
- Best For: Maintaining small-to-medium hard floor areas, polishing wood or tile, and regular cleaning of grout lines in commercial or residential settings.
- Limitations: It is not a vacuum or an extractor; it does not suck up dirty water. It is also less effective on heavy industrial grease compared to large walk-behind scrubbers.
What is the Bissell Hercules BGFS650 Commercial Two Brush Floor Scrubber?
The Bissell Hercules BGFS650 is a commercial two brush floor scrubber designed to bridge the gap between manual mopping and heavy-duty industrial machinery. While many consumers categorize it under the broad umbrella of an “electric spin scrubber,” the BGFS650 is built for durability with a metal body and a high-torque motor.
Typical Use Cases:
- Bathrooms: Deep cleaning tile floors and removing soap scum from large tiled areas.
- Kitchens: Agitating dirt in grout lines and refreshing linoleum or sealed hardwood.
- Small Commercial Spaces: Ideal for cafes, boutiques, or workshops where maneuverability is key.

What It Claims to Do
The primary marketing claims for the Bissell Hercules BGFS650 commercial two brush floor scrubber include:
- Reducing Manual Effort: Eliminating the need for hands-and-knees scrubbing by using mechanical rotation to break down surface tension.
- Versatile Surface Cleaning: Safe for use on marble, tile, wood, and vinyl when used with the appropriate attachment.
- Restoring Shine: Using the buffing pads to bring a high-gloss finish to sealed surfaces after cleaning.
Real-World Performance
In 2026 performance testing, the BGFS650 shows a clear distinction between maintenance and restoration:
- Effectiveness on Light-to-Moderate Dirt: The machine excels at removing everyday grime and scuff marks. It significantly reduces the time required to clean a standard kitchen floor compared to a manual mop.
- Heavy Buildup: For floors with years of wax buildup or thick, dried-on industrial grease, the BGFS650 may require multiple passes or a pre-treatment with a heavy-duty chemical stripper.
- Attachment Dependency: The results are highly dependent on using the correct brush. The stiff nylon brushes are essential for grout, while the microfiber pads are strictly for light surface cleaning.
Pros and Limitations
Pros
- Ease of Use: Lightweight and highly maneuverable around furniture.
- Durability: The commercial-grade build quality typically outlasts plastic consumer-grade spin scrubbers.

However, it is not ideal for deep restoration cleaning or stripping floors that have been neglected for long periods.
