FAQ Section
Are ergonomic pillows worth it?
Ergonomic pillows are generally considered worth the investment if your current pillow fails to keep your head and neck aligned with your spine. They provide targeted support that standard pillows may lack, though the value depends heavily on the user’s specific body type and sleeping position.
Do memory foam pillows really help with sleep comfort?
Memory foam can improve sleep comfort by contouring to the specific shape of the head and neck, which redistributes weight and reduces pressure. Shredded memory foam, in particular, offers a balance between the support of foam and the moldability of a traditional pillow.
How long does it take to adjust to a new pillow?
Most experts suggest it takes approximately two weeks for the body to fully adjust to a new pillow. During the first few nights, it is common to experience slight discomfort as your muscles adapt to a different support structure or loft height.
Are there downsides to cervical pillows?
The primary downsides include a steep learning curve and the potential for increased heat retention. Some cervical pillows have fixed shapes that may feel restrictive to people who move frequently or change positions throughout the night.
How often should you replace a pillow?
It is generally recommended to replace a pillow every 1 to 2 years. Over time, pillows accumulate allergens like dust mites and lose their structural integrity, which can lead to diminished support and hygiene issues.
