What Is the Hover Scrubber Cordless Mop?
The Hover Scrubber Cordless Mop (often marketed under the brand name Teko) is a motorized cleaning tool designed to automate the scrubbing process on a variety of hard surfaces. Unlike handheld scrubbers meant solely for sinks or tubs, this device is designed as a “dual-head” electric mop.
It typically features a lightweight, rechargeable handle—often extendable up to 49 inches—and a motorized base with two rotating discs. The package usually includes several types of interchangeable heads:
- Microfiber pads: For general floor mopping and polishing.
- Chenille pads: For dusting or absorbing larger spills.
- Specialized attachments: Some kits include a “Power Wedge” or grout-specific brushes for corners and baseboards.
The primary appeal lies in its “hover” technology, where the counter-rotating heads create a gliding sensation, making the mop feel nearly weightless as it moves across the floor.
Marketing Claims & How It’s Supposed to Work
The manufacturers present the Hover Scrubber as a “back-saving” alternative to traditional mopping. Here are the primary benefits and features usually advertised:

- Cordless Convenience: Powered by a rechargeable battery, it offers 60 to 80 minutes of movement without hunting for outlets.
- Multi-Surface Versatility: It is claimed to be safe for sealed hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl, and marble.
- Ergonomic Design: The long, adjustable handle is designed to reduce the need for bending or kneeling, making it a popular marketing point for seniors or those with limited mobility.
- Waterproof Design: While the handle contains the battery, the base is built to handle wet pads and cleaning solutions for a deep clean.

When looking at Hover Scrubber Cordless Mop reviews 2026, it is important to note that while the device is effective for maintenance, there is a lack of independent clinical or industrial certification beyond the manufacturer’s own claims. Consumers should keep an eye out for a few common “red flags” or limitations:
- Torque vs. Speed: While the heads spin fast, they may slow down or stop if you apply too much downward pressure. It is designed to “hover,” not to be pressed into the floor for heavy-duty industrial stains.
- Battery Longevity: Some users report that while the initial battery life is strong (around 60 minutes), the total capacity can diminish after a year of heavy use.

Positive Reports:
- Ease of Use: Most users agree that the “hover” sensation is real. It requires very little physical effort to move, which is a major win for those with arthritis or back pain.
- Baseboard Cleaning: The “Power Wedge” and the way the pads wrap slightly around the edge of the heads make it surprisingly good at cleaning the dust that settles where the floor meets the wall.

- Heavy Stains: For deeply set-in grout stains or years of wax buildup, users report that the motor might not have enough torque to completely remove the grime without pre-treating the area with a chemical cleaner.
- Drying Time: Since it doesn’t have a vacuum suction feature like some high-end wet/dry vacs, the floor stays wet for a few minutes, similar to a traditional mop.
