Independent Evidence & Red Flags

When researching the Air Scrubber Advanced by Aerus, it is important to distinguish between “Certified Space Technology” and medical-grade certifications. While the ActivePure Technology was developed in cooperation with NASA, it is not a replacement for traditional cleaning or professional medical advice.

Common Red Flags and Considerations:

• Professional Installation: Unlike a plug-and-play portable purifier or a manual scrub brush, this requires professional HVAC installation, which adds to the total cost.

• Maintenance Costs: The ActivePure cells and UV bulbs generally need to be replaced every two years. If neglected, the unit’s effectiveness drops significantly.

• Ozone Concerns: There are two versions of the unit—one that produces ozone and one that is ozone-free. Potential buyers should be aware that ozone can be a lung irritant for sensitive individuals; the ozone-free model is generally recommended for residential use.
