Marketed primarily as a home cleaning tool for hard surfaces, the unit typically includes:
- A Cordless Handle: Lightweight and often extendable (up to 49 inches), designed to reach high corners or low under furniture.
- Dual Spinning Heads: The “Omni” name refers to its multi-directional movement and its ability to swivel around obstacles.
- Interchangeable Pads: It usually comes with microfiber pads for general mopping and chenille pads for dusting or absorbing liquid messes.
- Rechargeable Battery: An internal battery that eliminates the need for trailing power cords.
While it looks like a high-tech floor buffer, it is compact enough to be stored in a standard utility closet, weighing in at just under 3 pounds.
Marketing Claims & How It’s Supposed to Work
The core appeal of the Teko Hover Scrubber Omni lies in its “hover” technology. The manufacturer claims that as the dual heads spin, the device creates a frictionless feel, allowing it to glide across the floor with almost zero effort from the user.
Key Advertised Features:
- Deep Cleaning Power: The high-speed rotation is intended to lift dirt and polish surfaces simultaneously without the need for harsh chemicals.
- Ergonomic Design: By using an adjustable handle and lightweight frame, it aims to reduce back strain and the need for kneeling.
- Long Battery Life: Most listings promise approximately 60 minutes of runtime, allowing for a full house clean on a single charge.
- Versatility: It is promoted as safe for hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl, and even vertical surfaces like shower walls or windows.
Independent Evidence & Red Flags
When learning how to use Teko Hover Scrubber Omni in 2026, it is important to distinguish between promotional videos and everyday performance. While the device is highly convenient, there are a few “red flags” and limit Best Buy | Official Online Store | Shop Now & Save ations to keep in mind.
- Motor Torque: A common observation during testing is that the motor can slow down or stall if you apply too much downward pressure. The device is designed to “hover” and scrub at its own pace; it is not a heavy-duty industrial buffer.
- Battery Maintenance: Like many budget-friendly cordless appliances, the lithium-ion battery is often non-replaceable. If the battery fails after a year or two, the entire unit may need replacing.
- Lack of Suction: It’s important to remember this is a scrubber, not a vacuum. It will loosen dirt, but it won’t suck it up. For very dirty floors, you may find yourself needing to swap the microfiber pads frequently to avoid just spreading the grime around.

After 30 days of testing, the feedback on the Teko Hover Scrubber Omni is generally positive for maintenance cleaning, though expectations should be managed for deep restoration.
The Positives:
Users frequently rave about the “weightless” feel of the device. For those with chronic back pain or limited mobility, the ability to clean baseboards and bathroom tiles without bending over is a significant benefit. On relatively clean floors, it excels at buffing out footprints and light scuffs, leaving a streak-free finish when used with just water or a mild cleaner.

On the flip side, some users report that for “set-in” stains—such as mineral deposits in a neglected shower—the scrubber requires a pre-treatment with a cleaning solution to be effective. Additionally, while the 60-minute battery claim holds up during light use, if you are tackling rougher surfaces that create more friction, you may find the runtime dropping closer to 40 minutes.

- Homeowners with Large Tiled Areas: It covers large square footages of tile or laminate much faster and more evenly than a manual mop.
Safety & Maintenance Tips:
- Test First: Always test the scrubber on a small, hidden area of your flooring to ensure the rotating pads don’t scuff delicate finishes.
- Avoid Submerging: The head is generally water-resistant, but the entire unit (especially the charging port) should never be submerged in water.
- Pad Care: Wash the microfiber pads after every use. Built-up grit in the pads can act like sandpaper on your floors if reused without cleaning.
- Charging: Follow the manufacturer’s timing for charging; avoid leaving it plugged in for days at a time to preserve the internal battery health.
