Unlike the lightweight, battery-operated “spin scrubbers” often seen in social media ads, the C27 is a corded, 41 kg (approx. 90 lbs) machine built for durability and serious floor restoration.
Online, it is presented as a high-performance tool featuring:
- An offset motor for counter-balanced weight.
- A 40 cm (15.7 inch) cleaning path.
- A quick-release pad holder and brush system.
- A heavy-duty 15-meter safety lead.
While it is a professional unit, it is increasingly marketed toward homeowners with extensive tiled areas, polished concrete floors, or large residential spaces that require more power than a standard mop can provide.
Marketing Claims & How It’s Supposed to Work
The core appeal of the Polivac C27 Rotary Scrubber with Pad Holder lies in its “Polidrive” technology—a sealed, oil-filled gearbox designed to deliver consistent power without the maintenance issues of belt-driven systems.
Advertised Benefits:
- Effortless Control: The offset motor design is claimed to reduce “kickback” or starting torque, making it easier to maneuver despite its weight.
- Ergonomic Design: It features a fully adjustable handle with safety triggers, allowing users to customize the height for comfort during long cleaning sessions.
- Versatility: By switching between the pad holder and various brushes (like Bassine or Nylon), the machine is advertised to work on vinyl, concrete, granite, marble, terrazzo, and even carpets.

Independent Evidence & Red Flags
When reading Polivac C27 Rotary Scrubber with Pad Holder reviews, it is important to distinguish between commercial-grade reliability and residential convenience.
Potential Red Flags for Home Users:
- Weight & Portability: At over 40 kg, this is not a tool you can easily carry up a flight of stairs or store in a small hall closet. For some home users, the sheer size can be a significant “red flag” regarding practicality.
- Learning Curve: Because it is a “swing” machine, there is a specific technique required to operate it safely. If not handled correctly, the machine can “walk” or move unexpectedly, potentially damaging baseboards or furniture.
- Power Requirements: While it runs on standard 220-240V power, the 1.1 kW motor is powerful. Users should ensure their home circuitry can handle the draw, especially if using other high-wattage appliances simultaneously.
User Experience & Real-World Feedback
Real-world feedback from professional forums and consumer comments suggests a high level of satisfaction regarding the machine’s longevity. Many users report that Polivac machines can last decades with basic maintenance.
