Marketing Claims & How It’s Supposed to Work
The manufacturer markets the Trusted Clean Dura 17 as an “affordable, easy-to-use, yet powerful” alternative to traditional cleaning methods. The core promises include:
- Unlimited Runtime: Because it is cord-electric rather than battery-operated, it doesn’t require hours of charging between uses.
- Deep Cleaning Power: With 77 lbs of brush pressure and a 160 RPM motor, it is designed to lift dirt that a mop would simply spread around.
- One-Pass Drying: The integrated squeegee assembly and vacuum motor are claimed to leave floors dry to the touch immediately after passing.
- Compact Maneuverability: Despite its power, it is built with a narrow footprint to navigate hallways, tight kitchen aisles, or residential garages.
The machine works via a “brush-assisted” drive, meaning the rotation of the scrub pad helps pull the machine forward, reducing the effort needed to push it.

- Consumer Confusion: One major red flag isn’t about the product itself, but the branding. Many “scam” websites use similar names to sell cheap, plastic handheld brushes. The Trusted Clean Dura 17 is a professional-grade, 150lb+ machine. If you see an ad for a “Dura 17” for $50, it is likely a fraudulent site.

User Experience & Real-World Feedback
After 30 days of real-world use and analyzing various consumer forums, the consensus on the Trusted Clean Dura 17 is generally positive, provided the user understands what they are buying.
- The Positive: Users frequently report that it cut their cleaning time by more than 50%. Owners of small businesses and homeowners with large tiled basements praise the “dry-to-the-touch” finish, which prevents the slip hazards often caused by mopping.
- The Cautionary: Some users noted that the 65-foot cord requires “cord management” skills to avoid tripping or tangling. Others mentioned that the trigger placement on the handle can be slightly uncomfortable during extended cleaning sessions of over an hour.
Cleaning results also vary based on the pads used. Using a soft polishing pad on heavy grease won’t yield great results; you must pair the machine with the correct abrasive pad for your specific surface.
